Felt flowers

Using felt and my big shot I cut loads of different flowers and made this mini brooch. I added some beads on each of the light blue petals to jazz it up a little.

I really should finish it off by sewing the pin on the back and actually wear it!

I'm hoping I'll be able to craft at some point over the next few days as I'm taking some holiday from work to coincide with my birthday on Sunday! Though I do have a lot planned and a trip somewhere that I have no idea about! Fingers crossed for a good few days!

Thanks for stopping by!

Quilling

After reading about quilling in a magazine and freebee strips provided I thought I'd give it a go. Really enjoyed this technique and it's something I'd give a go again. The only downside is that it makes quite a thick card so would cost a bit to post.

Fly away

This card was made for my partner for his birthday back in march using a new stamp set from Stampin up and the sponging technique taught in one of Amanda's classes.

Out of Touch

Hi to fellow bloggers!

Cannot believe how long it's been since I've even looked at a blog, let alone post in mine. I have no excuse really, just not much crafting happening.

I'm struggling at the moment with card making as I have nothing to aim for, I make one or two if there's a birthday and that's about it! I got fed up with making loads with the ideas and extras from magazines to then have to put them in a box never to see the light again. I have two full boxes now and I'm not sure what to do with them!

So I started playing around with felt! Making little flower and butterfly bookmarks/brooches/key chains. Well that was the idea anyway! I made a brooch for myself and still haven't sewn the pin on and a bookmark for my mum, which thankfully I did finish. I now have bags of felt not touched in weeks.

I did attempt to scrapbook, but only managed one page!

But on the upside I have been learning to knit (can't cast on yet.) and I've made a baby blanket which I hope may be in use next year fingers crossed. I've just started on a cardigan, I love the fact that my partners mum is happy to teach me and enjoys the visits from me to cast on another bit!

Sorry for the longish post! And if anyone out there has any ideas to pull me out of my crafting funk or tips or guidance I'd be very grateful!!

Hopefully see you soon!
